Another milestone for The Branch School came with an October 6 Ribbon Cutting event facilitated by the Houston West Chamber of Commerce. The event marked the completion of the Middle School, with the addition of eighth grade.

Student Julian Herrington, a member of the Houston Youth Symphony, played the viola for the event and middle school student Rodney Scarbrough played the drum roll at the moment of the actual ribbon cutting. Refreshments were served to parents, guests, and chamber members and Middle School students were served a Congratulations West Wing cake.

Chamber members, middle school students, parents, representatives from local west Houston businesses, and visitors to the Community Open House attended the event.
