Veterans Day Celebration

In honor of those who have served in the armed forces, The Branch School held a week long celebration and a special ceremony dedicated to our veterans.  We invited local veterans to come and share their experiences with our students and all were presented with a flag.  During the week, the children made cards, learned about our armed services, and collected goods to send to troops overseas.  To help children further appreciate what is further involved in military service, Ellington Field sent an Apache helicopter and two soldiers for a special presentation to our students.  The first through fourth grade students also visited a retirement community to sing patriotic songs with the residents.
