The following are descriptions of the various after-school enrichment classes offered during the school year. Most, but not all classes, are offered througout each year, and some are dependent upon interest.

City Art Works teaches after-school art classes to pre-k through fifth grade students. In the classes, students explore age-appropriate art lessons and utilize various mediums to provide meaningful art experiences.
The Branch School is a member of the West Houston Christian Sports Association (WHCSA). Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade have the opportunity to participate in soccer, basketball, and baseball. All teams are formed based on student interest and parent support, including all coaching. Track and field is available 3rd – 8th grade and is coached by the school coach with the assistance of parent volunteers.
Chess is a fun game that sharpens tactical and strategic thinking, develops good sportsmanship, and practices focused attention. This after-school class is available for third through eighth grade students and any skill-level is welcome.
TBS supports a Cub Scout Den that is full of fun! Run and supported by parent volunteers this den is a great after school activity. As the Boy Scouts say…..”No matter what grade you are in, first through fifth, it can be a blast. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to tie knots, set up a tent, or shoot a bow and arrow (archery). Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Built a birdhouse? Hiked? Earn rewards for doing these things in Cub Scouts.”
This after-school Drama class is a fun way for students to learn about theater and the important skills of expressing emotions, thinking on your feet, and problem solving. It is open to kindergarten through fourth grade students.
TBS supports several Girl Scout Troops beginning with Daisies. As the Girl Scouts say, “Girl Scouts unleashes the G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ in every girl, preparing her for a lifetime of leadership—from taking a night-time hike under the stars to accepting a mission on the International Space Station; from lobbying the city council with her troop to holding a seat in Congress; from running her own cookie business today to tackling cybersecurity tomorrow.”
Junior Athletes teaches age-specific fitness programs for our preschool through 4th grade students. The class teaches basic sports skills and forms a solid foundation of healthy living and physical well being through sports and fitness activities in a fun atmosphere.
