Expansion Plans

The Branch School is moving ahead with plans to build the new Hightower Middle School, a space intentionally designed to serve middle school learners. We are working with Kirksey Architecture, a Texas-based firm with deep experience in creating inspired K-12 learning spaces. Kirksey’s Visioning Workshop assisted Branch Trustees, faculty, and staff in identifying the building features that best serve our pedagogical approach, our curriculum, and our students.   

The firm also hosted a workshop with our middle school students to elicit their unique insights, gleaned from their work on the Sequoia project. These students highlighted elements they deem essential for our new space, which serve our community of learners in the best way possible.
